    Gynecomastia is a condition in males where the breasts are enlarged in size giving an unpleasant look.  Gynecomastia is triggered by the decrease in the amount of the hormone testosterone compared with estrogen in men. Estrogen hormone is responsible for enlarged breasts in both men and women. Estrogen is a female hormone which men also have.
